My Review
It's time to ask the big question....
Have you ever had a tattooed biker dude the size of a small mountain walk up to you and ask in the gentlest of tones, “Do you know Jesus?” If so, you might have met Simon from Sons Of Thunder. OK, yes, I do know this show is fiction but it brings up one of the greatest points about Sons Of Thunder. God can redeem anyone, even people we would pass over without a second thought, and He can use anyone for His purpose no matter what they've done in the past.
I sat down and watched the entire 7 episode season with various members of my family. Each of us took away something a little different and each of us like different characters and episodes. My favorite episode may or may not have had something to do with a poker game... Overall we liked the show and were quite interested to hear about the spinoff series, Sons Of Thunder: Redemption coming out this year.
The show has a short season so it's pretty easy to watch more than one of the 30-40 minute episodes in one night. Sons Of Thunder consists of two threads, the current one with a different fairly disconnected storyline each episode, and the flashbacks to Simon's final days with the motorcycle gang as he meets a girl and tries to extricate himself from the darkness. This is a great show for Christian families, probably best for a little bit older kids and adults, that not only encourages faith even when it's tough but will also will entertain you through some pretty thought-provoking adventure plots. Don't miss any of these episodes of Sons Of Thunder...
